Laterre [/la tɛʀ], a fashion brand inspired by Indonesia’s rich heritage, was born in 2021 with a deep admiration for the beauty and uniqueness of traditional clothing. Starting with custom-made kebayas, gowns, and skirts, we crafted each piece with meticulous detail to reflect individuality and elegance. In 2022, we introduced La Terre Batik, beginning with Batik Sekundang, a stunning textile inspired by the local wisdom of South Bengkulu. Our batik designs, handcrafted with love by skilled artisans, feature motifs drawn from the region’s flora and fauna, such as taro leaves, ferns, Rafflesia flowers, and native fish, alongside our signature La Terre logo. With a mission to empower local culture and artisans, we expanded beyond South Bengkulu to the entire province, opening a new outlet in Bengkulu City and participating in exhibitions to introduce our heritage textiles to a broader audience. In line with our vision for growth, we launched La Terre Signature, a new line dedicated to modest, luxury fashion that is both comfortable and easily accessible. This collection aims to set new trends in the industry, further expanding our reach while staying true to our core values. Rooted in tradition yet designed for modern appreciation, La Terre seeks to bring Indonesian elegance to life, making it more accessible, cherished, and meaningful for all.
